Over lunch Martino told us that he enjoys his olive oil over many years, often dipping into older vintages to see how they are maturing. He claims his olive oil is great for at least a decade if well stored. Please note that we ship and store our olive oil under the same strict conditions as we handle our wine. It is rare to find quality olive oil that is handled with such care; the majority of the olive oil in the marketplace today is shipped in unrefrigerated containers and is stored without temperature control, rendering it spoiled by the time it hits the shelves.
The olives are harvested from trees surrounding this world-renowned vineyard in Radda in Chianti.
The olive groves are placed from North-East toward South, at 380-420 meters above sea level.
